From Garden to Glass: Strawberry Basil Gold Rush
After the bartender passed this drink across the bar for us to taste, all three of us said this was the best cocktail we’d had in a long time! This simple yet amazingly delicious cocktail will leave you and your guests wanting more.
It’s strawberry season here in central Florida, and even though you can find them in any grocery store, if you have the inclination, you can grow them yourself. An easy and preferred method is growing them in hanging baskets, raised beds, or even gutters attached to your fence to keep the tender berries off the ground. If you’d like to try growing them from seed you need to start them in the fall, but if you missed that boat you can still find lots of little plants for sale at any nursery near you.
Ingredients:
2 oz whiskey
1 oz honey
1 oz lemon juice
Strawberries and basil
